Sevierville, Tennessee, chartered in 1795 and named for Tennessee’s first governor, John Sevier, is one of the oldest cities in Tennessee. The statue of Dolly Parton on the courthouse lawn was sculpted by local artist Jim Gray and unveiled by Miss Parton herself on May 2, 1987, with her parents in attendance. There's also a statue on the courthouse lawn in remembrance of our veterans.

The Sevier County School System provides schools for K-12, and Walters State Community College has excellent facilities in Sevierville TN. A number of colleges are available in Knoxville with less than one hour drive. Sevierville has great shopping, including its own shopping districts and those of nearby Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Sevierville is served by a wide range of restaurants located in the city and thoughout Sevier County. Sevierville is served by a modern, expanding hospital, Fort Sanders Sevier Medical Center.
